Some people are exceptionally impatient. Others just like to get things first. Either way, having to wait for the official release of a game now seems like a thing of the past. With downloadable previews, demos and imports, most gamers have played the title in question before a review embargo is lifted. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for the gamers being the critics, hence the reason I am involved with this site!
However, the people at Sega have decided to use Steam to give you lucky devils the opportunity to play Football Manager2012 more than a week before it releases, in the form of the ‘now expected’ FM2012 demo. Whilst the demo only features a quick start option, there are 11 leagues to choose from, and the game will run for 6 (in game) months. With Steam being the chosen format for many Football Manager gamers, it only seems logical to get a copy of the demo via the online gaming service, and then pick up a complete version of the game digitally on the 21st October 2011 (scheduled released date).
